March/Rally

March and Rally
Forty years after the Stonewall Rebellion, we march in solidarity with our brothers and sisters and allies in Washington, DC to demand equal protection in all matters governed by civil law in all 50 states and to show our public support for the Approval of Referendum 71 here in Washington state.

Seattle is organizing in solidarity to the National March in DC.  It’s time we build a grassroots coalition of organizers from the full spectrum of LGBTQ and organizations.  This is a push for a movement to bring equality to all 50 states.  We have to show solidarity across the nation and demand equality.

The issues:
- Immigration
- Health Care for LGBTQ
- HIV/AIDS
- Schools/Bullying
- Don’t Ask Don’t Tell
- Referendum 71 (Stripping Domestic Partnerships in WA)
- Hate Crimes (The rise of hate crimes in Seattle)
- Labor
- Racism/Sexism within our community

Expect: Speakers, Performers, Fundraising for local organizations and learning how to get more involved in your community.
